Ramadan is a time of reflection, generosity, and community, where acts of kindness hold profound significance. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and partners, in 2024, we extended our support to communities across India, Pakistan, and Türkiye, bringing food security and hope to those in need. Here’s a glimpse of how your contributions made a meaningful impact during Ramadan 2024.
India: we distributed food packs to 296 students from 91 schools, ensuring these Zakat eligible children and their families had the essentials to celebrate Ramadan with dignity. These food packs not only alleviated hunger, but also brought smiles tohundreds of young faces.
Pakistan: we provided food assistance to 150 households comprising widows, orphans, and impoverished families. Each food pack contained essential and supplementary items to sustain a family for at least 30 days, including sugar, flour, ghee/oil, squash, rice, daal, dates, tea, and even a matchbox. This initiative brought relief to families struggling to meet their daily needs, ensuring they could observe Ramadan with peace of mind.
Türkiye: Türkiye’s Adana region, still reeling from the effects of the 2023 earthquakes and economic crisis, became a focal point for our relief efforts. We provided emergency food aid to 160 families, many of whom were Syrian refugees who had suffered tremendous losses-be it their homes, incomes, or loved ones. Most beneficiaries were widowed mothers and their children, many of whom had lost their husbands to the Syrian civil war or the earthquakes.
Thanks to your donations, we were able to extend compassion and care to those who needed it most.
